The Equestrian Health and Safety Foundation is a member of the Smart Heart Sports Coalition which promotes the importance of AEDs at all athletic events. We are pleased to share this important message produced by our partners at the National Football League showing the life saving benefits of AEDs when dealing with Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Programs and Services:

Provide CPR and AED Training
Provide Competition Emergency Safety Plans
Provide Concussion Awareness Training
Building Awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Accomplishments :

Joined the Smart Heart Sports Coalition
Developing a library of best practices and Emergency Preparedness Plans
Established a Medical Advisory Board to enlarge scope of medical knowledge
Established an Equestrian Advisory Board to ensure a source of competition experiences
Conducted safety assessments for:
- Upperville Horse Show
- Hampton Classic Horse Show
- Capital Challenge Horse Show
- Washington International Horse Show
